The At Risk Housing Coalition (ARHC) was formed in 1993 by Women's Opportunity and Resource Development to begin a community-wide effort to prevent and address housing insecurity. In the beginning ARHC functioned as a loosely organized group that helped to increase communication and collaboraton among service providers. Beginning in 2004, ARHC formalized as a coalition requiriing membership and adherence to agreements and protocols. AHRC members represent health and human service agencies and governmental departments. ARHC's main purpose is to coordinate local efforts to plan and provide comprehensive services through a continuum of care to address housing insecurity.
